Brent Rickett
VIDEO ANALYSIS COACH
Brent Rickett is the current Assistant Coach for the Seacoast Performance Academy (SPA) Spartans U15 AAA team, embarking on his first year behind the bench. He brings a wealth of experience from his collegiate playing career, which includes two years at NCAA DIII Norwich University and two years at Johnson & Wales University in the NEHC Conference. As the lone captain in his senior year at JWU during the 2023-24 season, Brent demonstrated exceptional leadership, finishing his collegiate career with 39 points in 63 games. Just prior to his graduation, he joined the Roanoke Yard Dawgs in the SPHL for three games, adding professional experience to his resume.
Brent has accumulated 8 years of player development experience, beginning in high school at Stride Envy Hockey camps during the summer. His coaching journey has since expanded to include players at various levels, such as NEPSAC, NAHL, USHL, DI, DIII, AHL, and NHL. This broad spectrum of experience highlights his ability to adapt his coaching techniques to meet the needs of players at different stages of their careers.
In addition to his on-ice expertise, Brent possesses a strong background in video analysis. Over the past 5 years, he has specialized in clipping, editing, and analyzing game films for students, providing valuable insights to help them improve. His dedication to continuous learning and development, both for himself and his players, sets him apart in the field of player development. Brent's approach ensures that he remains at the cutting edge of coaching strategies and player development.
