STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH

With over a decade of experience, John Sardos has dedicated his career to enhancing the strength and conditioning of elite athletes, particularly Division 1 and professional hockey players. His impressive resume includes significant roles at prestigious institutions and teams, such as West Point, Union College, and the AHL affiliate teams of the New York Rangers (Hartford Wolfpack) and New Jersey Devils (Albany Devils). Throughout his tenure, Sardos has worked closely with athletes to optimize their physical performance, drawing on his deep expertise in strength training methodologies and his ability to tailor programs to individual needs. His passion for the field shines through in his commitment to pushing athletes to unlock their full potential, whether they’re aspiring amateurs or seasoned professionals. Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holding a Functional Movement Systems (FMS) certification, Sardos combines scientific knowledge with practical application, ensuring that his training regimens enhance not only strength but also mobility, injury prevention, and overall athletic development. His holistic approach, informed by years of hands-on experience with high-level hockey talent, has earned him a reputation as a trusted and innovative coach in the realm of sports performance.

John Sardos currently serves as the head strength coach at North Rockland High School, overseeing the weight room and the performance of all athletic teams. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2010 from New England College and a Master’s in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Sports Psychology, from the University of Missouri in 2015.

Sardos’s academic background complements his professional achievements, equipping him with a strong foundation in kinesiology and insights into the psychological factors that drive athletic success.
